Together, John Martin of Brownriggs and the team at EVM have worked closely and tirelessly to ensure that the children of the Dumfries and Galloway area were safely transported to school to start their new school term. Over 130 pupils from across the region, made it safely to school in the comfort of brand new EVM buses.
Whilst school pupils across the rest of England do not return until September, students in Scotland and the Northern-most regions of England returned this week. The Council faced an enormous challenge when a major transport company ceased operating in the area just weeks before the start of term.
Lorna Miller, Area Sales Manager for EVM UK & Ireland is immensely proud of what the teams have accomplished together.
She explains “I have known John for many years, but never as a customer. When the Council approached him to provide these additional services, he said he was in no doubt of where to turn to as he picked up the phone to make his first ever EVM purchases. Everyone, worked in super quick time to get the vehicles prepped and on the road in time for the start of term. I joked to John that ‘not all superheroes wear capes’, but Brownriggs have really come to the rescue and turned what could have been a real travesty to the area into a positive opportunity for all parties.”
