Manual wheelchair ramps are a quick, simple way to board wheelchair passengers. A manual folding ramp is installed within the floor and, when not in use, lies flush. With a lockable handle and a sensor that alerts the driver when the ramp is deployed (avoiding awkward situations of forgetfulness!), the ramp is user-friendly and easy to deploy. Additionally, this piece of kit weighs only 28kg with a safe working load* of 375kg, making it a lightweight, durable solution.
This access option is perfect for vehicles like our low-floor, PSVAR Compliant Cityline, which is typically used on community service and bus routes where passengers regularly get on and off board and a lift may take too long to deploy.

The most common wheelchair access method available within EVM’s Accessible Minibus Range. Designed and manufactured in the UK by Passenger Lift Solutions (PLS), the Under-Floor Cassette Wheelchair Lift is a reliable, easy-to-operate piece of kit that makes minibus access simple for everyone.
The powered in/stow operation means no bending or heavy lifting; the only manual movement is lifting and lowering the passenger handles and pulling the boards apart – the rest is controlled by a remote securely attached to the vehicle to prevent loss. Its 400 kg safe working load* and 925mm wide platform ensure space and peace of mind.
The underfloor design allows full rear access, which is perfect for EVM vehicles, as our seats can be tracked and removable. This is ideal for everyday, changing routes and transfer work which may require space for a wheelchair user one day and luggage access or more seats the next.

A single, robust platform. PLS’s Inboard Solid One-Piece Wheelchair Lift takes up minimal space in a lightweight yet exceedingly sturdy design.
Powered by a remote and detachable from the vehicle, this lift has a safe working load* of 400kg and fits snugly in the back of the minibus. This lift limits rear access compared to the Underfloor Lift; however, it offers the benefit of a single board design and slightly faster deployment.
With PLS, this lift is “modular and upgradable,” meaning it can be specified and later modified to meet your needs without requiring a whole new lift.

Our Grand Toro II and Visigo midi coaches can be equipped with a Mid-Body Wheelchair Lift (supplied by DHOLLANDIA) and removable interior seats, allowing for smooth boarding for all passengers. The lift is stored below the middle door, meaning it deploys and seamlessly unfolds from a ‘letterbox’ opening door, then neatly stores away again. We can also PSVAR prep midi coaches. This means that if you don’t need the lift now, changing that later is simple and easy.
